Good "I have absolutely no idea which day it is" morning y'all!! Another quickie from me this morning.....actually just a note of caution!!

Our itunes was hacked yesterday.....and they were able to charge up our paypal account a bit. PLEASE.....PLEASE.....PLEASE check into your account and whichever credit card or paypal account it is connected to right now!! Change passwords.....and verify all your information!!

Also a thought......why the heck don't these "brilliant folks" who know how to hack into all these companies use their "talents" for good......can you imagine what advancements could be made......in science.....in medicine.....in business? Just a thought!!

Any-hoooooo.....hope all is grand in your world!! I'm ready to back with the living in no time.....as soon as I find time!! :O) Until then......make your day a joyful one.......you know.....scare your family by being in a REALLY good mood when they come home!! tee hee hee!!

So.....Ya Ever.....

Geesh!! It's January 16th......a brand new year......a brand new beginning....a fresh start!! And me.....yea!!....I'm running behind already!!

Rick and I were completely blessed (and blown away frankly) with an amazing year last year!! Our business grew....even in these trying financial times!! We were (finally) able to get our barn up for our new shop!! We did 8 major shows.....selling down to the bare walls at each one!! Brady had an amazing year....scholastically (he's such a smart kid and achieves so much with that glorious brain) and socially (meaning we saw him home exactly 4 hours in 2011) and athletically (he was a 3 team letter winner....and this season again made honorable mention All State). We are all happy....healthy...and wise (stop laughing.....I am blonde.....and quite wise in a blonde sorta way!!) Therefore.....we were determined to take a little time off from the shop to regroup......rejuvenate the creative juices.....and enjoy seeing Brady the 3.7 seconds he's been home in December and January!!

Here's how our "time off" has gone......

Me......I forced myself to sit and go through my patterns only 47 times in December!! I also touched each and every cut of fabric in my stacker....but only 14 or 15 times each!!

Rick.....he took on orders for last minute Christmas presents from the gals at work!!

Me....As soon as Christmas dinner was over.....I determined that our bedroom and bathroom just simply HAD to be given a facelift.....right now!!!

Rick.....really was ready to watch a little football.....but said.....your idea of a little facelift sounds great.....but make sure it's just a small project so we can get workin' in the barn!!

Me......By facelift......I meant....painting and primping with new curtains....bed linens....simply a quick weekend facelift!! You know.....completely NOT what I was actually going to do!!

Rick.....Knew better.....because I am involved...and my ideas are never small!!

So this is how our time off has gone!! When I was determined to chill....Rick created work....and when he was ready for a lil' r&r....I came up with a fun little project that has now taken over our entire house!! On the bright side.....everything in the bedroom and bathroom is nearly done....the carpet comes on Wednesday.....and I've got to re-load the closet (from a total build in....yea!! I know....don't ask!!) this morning....and then....it'll be done....and our lil' facelift will be complete!!

So the lesson learned you ask......don't believe us when we say....I'm sorry we can't take that order in December and January because we need to take a little time off!! What that really means is we are going to work ourselves nuts and call it a vacation!!

We are a blessed family.....with each other.....and with each and every one of you!! We are both sooooooo ready to get back to work!! We have been coming up with some pretty fantastic ideas....so what I mean to say is.....Thank you for our 2011!! Thank you for following us from show to show!! Thank you for keeping up with us online!! Thank you for asking and waiting for our shop to open!! and......Thank you for allowing us a little "time off" to recoup.....to regroup....and to rejuvenate!! also......thanks for checkin' in in a few weeks or so to see what we've got cookin'!! :O)

Me.....I get to spend a lil' time with Brady today as he's home due to Martin Luther King's day......and by "spend a lil' time with him" I mean he's still in bed .....he'll come out at about noon hungry....and then he'll go back to his room and do homework until he's hungry again at 5pm!! But......woo hoo!! he's home today!! tee hee hee!!

Don't Cry Over Spilled......

Last week I decided that our bedroom and bathroom needed a lil' facelift. Now.....a week later.....I think I've changed my mind!!

On Friday......I dumped an entire gallon of paint all over the carpet......

On Sunday.....I poly'ed the newly painted floor and counter-top.....and it's still tacky because I put it over briwax......

Yesterday I pulled a muscle in my neck and can't move....

I don't think it is an unreasonable demand that we move do you????????

...I'm pretty amazing!! :O) Yep!! Yesterday......I cleaned the shower.....harvested the mushrooms......and made homemade soup with them!! I know.......aaaaaawesome!! My hubby is one lucky man!! :O)

Don't be a hater!! You can be awesome too.....grow mushrooms on your shower doors too!! It's a gift worth giving to your family!! They will thank you....they'll be afraid not to!! :O)

Guess what I got for Christmas......poison ivy!! I know!! How in the world did I get it in the winter???? Sometimes during the hectic Christmas season.....it's easy to get overwhelmed with the process.....and lose site of the real reason for the season. Family time is replaced with trying to think of the perfect gifts....duh...we miss spending time with them....to buy them sumthin'.....yea!!!

I'm a Helper!!

We heat with a wood stove.....and that means we must cut firewood. I LOVE the warmth of the fire.....however.....collecting the fuel......well.....it ain't the funnest job eveh!!! :O)

Normally.....the job falls on Rick and Brady's shoulders....and happens much earlier in the year......however since this year has been on permanent fast forward.....that didn't happen!! Soooooo......guess who gets to be Rick's lil' helper this year......yep!!!......ME!!!

After about an hour's worth of complaining each night.....Rick would drag me to the woods. He chopped......and I loaded......and by "loaded" I mean........I wander around finding all kinds of gorgeous God's creations that we could turn into prim treasures!! Rick gets a lil' peeved when after 472 times I scream, "OH MY GOODNESS!!" and when he comes running thinking I have chopped off my arm.....he finds something he doesn't really see as beautiful!! Oh well.......I was being helpful.....and he was NOT BEING THANKFUL!!!

......It was cold!!! ........I was frozen!!! I think my face fell off on Saturday 'cause of frostbite!!....... AND.....he wouldn't collect a fallen tree I found that would be perfect by the barn....you know....standing upright!!! Geesh!!! How unreasonable is he!!!!! Something about it being too heavy.....whatever.....I just saw cranes up righting a tree on the White House lawn.....can't be that hard right!!!!......well anyway......I've devised all kinds of revenge plots....sooooo.....it's alright....you know.....all except the face falling off part....yea......that's gonna take a lil' getting used to!! :O)

Anyhoooooo......we'll be warm....blah....blah....blah......and Rick is insisting we eat out a lot this week for fear of poisoning......so all in all......I guess it wasn't all that bad!!! Hope you are all warm and toasty too!! Enjoy your new week!!

During our time of "panicly preparing for the next show".....my exercise program slipped!! I'm still holding at a total weight loss of 62# and I feel great.....but I want to continue to lose a little....and stay in shape too....so Monday I restarted my 90 day system.....(insert screams of pain here!!!)

I can't move!!

Even the hair on my arms.....and my newly crochet leg hairs.....HURT!!!

I've sweat so much.....that there is now a clean spot on the family room floor!!

But.......I look goooooooood!!

I'm Having an Identity Crisis!!

Recently.....I've been thinking....who am I?........ Who am I?....... Who?....... Am?...... I?

I'm a Saint Bernard!! My nose is constantly wet.......so I must be at least 40% dog right!!

I'm a Boho Chic!! And yep....I do mean "chik" not "sh-ee-k"......I haven't shaved my legs in so long that I now call the hairs leg warmers!! During this....my week of rest.....I'm going to practice the crochet skills my mother-in-law once tried to teach me and bind the hairs together in a nice "hair-ing-bone" pattern!! If all goes well.....I'm going to die them in shades of purple and chartreuse!! (fingers crossed!!)

I'm a trend setter!! Duh!! See both of the above.....should be obvious don'cha think!! Everyone will be wearing a wet nose and crochet leg hairs next week!! Start today.....and be ahead of the trend!!

I'm green!! No.....not the color.....the movement!! I haven't cleaned the house in so long......we now have dirt floors.....and some kind of energy producing stuff is growing in the frig!! Also.....I haven't used any form of chemical cleaner that could possibly cause flesh eating virus' to attack my son's face and make his left little toenail fall off....so obviously.....I'm a super mom too!!

I'm the most amazing wife ever!! Yep!! I haven't said one cross word to my husband since last Thursday....not one word!!!!!......uuuummmmm.....okay....to be fair....I haven't had a voice since then but still......aaaaa-maziiiiing!!!

So.....there you have it...I'm not having such a crisis after all!! I'm happy being me.....Me..... the green St. Bernard, super wife-mom, trend setting, hairy chic!! I just gotta be me....and I'm okay with it!!

Very Interesting!!

Well.......our last show of the year was yesterday.....and guess what!! Go on!! Guess!! You'll never be able to come up with what happened....but I'll wait.....go on.....give it a go.......NOPE!!! I had NO VOICE!!!! On Thanksgiving.....Rick and I both awakened with the "creepin' crude" in the middle of the night!! We laid around and tried to recover....however.....I lost my voice completely....only a whisper left!! Quit laughing!! It is not funny.....and it is really wrong of y'all to think it soooooo hysterically funny!! tisk!! tisk!! tisk!!! (:oP)

So......to everyone who tried to chat with me at the show......I wasn't being a royal witchy poo......I wasn't ignoring you......I wasn't all hoity toity!! Nope!! I was suffering from Rick's answered prayers!!

Any....hooooo....we did have a good show!! There was very little there.....yikes....it was quite the bazaar....but we sold a ton of stuff to our faithful followers!! Here's a lil' peek at what we had....

This really neat piece came together sooooooo well!! Pix really don't do it justice.....it is smaller than a dry sink.....but still the perfect size to really add an impact to any room!!

This raised dough box is fashioned after an antique....of course with Rick's twist.....the added lid makes this an ideal addition as a work table in the kitchen.....or a really unique side table!!

We purchased a pile of pieces parts.....Rick added some new wood and old molding....

I May Be a Teensy Tiny Bit Grouchy!!

Not that anyone has noticed I'm sure.....I am pleasant......I SAID I'M PLEASANT darn'it!!! Down right JOYFUL infact.....but......

.....it all started last week sometime......I would fall asleep......dead away.....and then awaken at about 10:30p as if I had slept the entire night. Now for about 4 days.....I've gotten up at 3am!! Last night Brady held a small study group and the kids all slept over.....and by slept over I mean they hooted and hollered ALL NIGHT LONG...what the heck is sooooo funny about AP American History and AP Lang.????????.....anywho......all this fine living has left me a little outta sorts....here I am this morning.....

........I've gotta headache the size of Texas.....and I seem to be a little less sweet and a lot more sassy today....again very little....I'm sure the wide eyed stares from the children this morning and the fact that they left crying had NOTHING to do with me right!!! And the fact that I argued with the TV weatherman this morning is perfectly sane right!!! And the fact that everyone in which I've come into contact with at any point today is thought of as an absolute idiot is completely reasonable too right!!

Yep!! That's what I thought too!! I'm a teeny bit grouchy......but not that much......I SAID NOT THAT MUCH......RIGHT!!!!!

Welp.....have a grand day.....oh what the heck.....have a crappy one....what'do I care.....if you want to join me in being a raging witchy-poo.....I say.....come on over!!! :O)

Doctor, Doctor!! Give Me the News!!

I've got a bad case.....of......confusion!!

It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday!! It's July but still feels like it should be about April 'cause the year has gone by so quickly!!

My house needs cleaned again.....even though I just did it last month!! The laundry is piling up again.....d#@!*t.....why do they insist on wearing clothes!! And......there is another day beginning in which my hubby and kid will demand food at some point....even though I gave them each a hot dog on Saturday afternoon.....I even cooked it this time!!!

The kid has the schedule from h3ll again this week.....with something every day.....and AP homework on top....I'm now rethinking the quartet theory!!

So.....on this Monday-Tuesday.....in my state of confusion.....what do you think the doctor has prescribed??????

1) a large pot of cappuccino (made with my protein and sugar free syrup of course!!)

2) lots and lots of whining (by me about anything and everything I choose!!)

3) calgon taking me away.....hopefully to a sunny beach!!

See.......I've started following doctor's orders already.....a post full of whining.....while drinking a huge cuppa capp'!! I've also been rubbing the calgon box.....but so far......no luck!! I'll let you know!! :O)

A Few Tips and Techniques

In all my life.....I have loved cleaning......stop laughing!! I do!! And by "I love cleaning" I mean.....I avoid it with every fiber of my being.....at all costs.....at any expense!! Nothing warms my heart more than seeing a shiny floor that I've just swept and mopped to perfection......get mud tracked on by the dog......and then puked on by the cat.....and then food and/or drink dribbled all over by the kid!! There is no greater satisfaction than spending 47 days scrubbing and waxing.....shining and buffing every surface......just to have it get dirty again in a mere 3.2 seconds!! No really.....it's one of my greatest passions!!

So.....being the queen of clean that I am.......I thought I would share with you all my wealth of knowledge.....tips and tricks I've learned.....techniques that allow me to have such a spotless home......you know......other than the fact that I spend probably a whole second or so a day cleaning....(I know it's a lot.....but it's a gift I give my family!!)

Always drag your feet when walking through your home!! Not only does this count as sweeping the floor......on carpet the static builds up and you can use that jolt of electricity to awaken your teen at the crack of 2pm!! Additionally......every once in a while.....the dog hair builds up and when you drag your feet enough....a nice fur ball builds and said fur ball makes wonderful stuffing....this is how I stuffed our couch so full and fluffy!!

When forced to use the boy's potty......wipe away the splash zone before using the facility with their hand towel....this makes it just moist enough to wipe away the tooth paste that is smeared all over the vanity....it's a 2fer1.....the toothpaste and pee mixture acts as a detergent and bam-boom......clean vanity!!! As an additional benefit......the guys won't know after reading this if I truly do this or if it's a joke......and I'll never have to clean their bathroom.....ever......again!!!

Have a bunch of children!!! See......I didn't consider this carefully enough during child bearing years!!! If I had had more children......I would have had more slaves.....I mean darlings to force to clean.....I mean share the chores!!! Darn!!! Do you think I'm too old for a quartet?????

When you've avoided laundry long enough.....they will wear their underwear twice!! Oh c'mon......there's an inside and an outside for a reason you know!!!

Bugs and dust bunnies make very nice house guests.......some are much more welcomed than family!!!

A Tragedy

So.....you may have heard the reports......seen the massive news coverage......the many....many news articles......and now the time has come for me to come clean!! I.......I........I may perhaps have fallen off the face of the earth for a short period of time!! No!! The stories are true!! But...please...let me explain......

It all started a few months ago.....you know.....the year was 1995!! I was going along fine....keeping up with house.....and friends......and family.....and accomplishing things.....like actually sweeping the floor with more than just my socked foot!! So.....I was going along....and BAM!!......time forwarded really fast on fast forward till it's 2011 and somehow I've said yes to everyone who has asked anything of me.....including my hubs and kid who demand food and clean clothes....geesh!! (this is the part where you shed a tear for me!! Go ahead and wipe away.....I'll wait!!)

It was a dark and stormy night.......the air was thick with anticipation.....when it happened!!!! (this is quite exciting no?? Just so we are all on the same page......hear in your head the really dark and spooky tragedy music from all the really good movies in your head please!!! Are we all together......okay...read on)........I took one step too many!! BAM!!!! I fell right off the edge of the earth!!

Little by little......step by step......through polyfil and sawdust.....nails and pins.....we have finally tried to catch up with orders and requests......show preps and shop plans. Our shop is at a bit of a stand still due to a true tragedy with our builder and his family (they lost a family member and have several children injured in a house fire!!). Our next show is in August so we have a bit of time for prep. Our orders are nearly caught up and we aren't taken any more for a little while. And......the best part of all.....our Brady is home and had a great time in Dallas (I'll do a real post on that later cause there is lots to share!!)

So there you have it!! I fell off the earth.....I disappeared for a short time....and now I've crawled back up the cliff and I'm back!! You can't keep me down!! (visualize I......am......Rocky!!!....running the steps.......listen to the triumphant tune)

While the news reports may have been true.....clearly.....you can see how it all happened right!! It's a down right inspirational......oscar winning story!! And now.....I'm back in the game!! Look out Russian dude from Rocky 47!! tee hee hee!!

....here I sit with 15 minutes of down time between taking Brady to practice for his upcoming Nationals Speech trip to Dallas and going to sit in on the session and lunch......That's it.....15 minutes......we've broke ground on our shop.....we've got a show next weekend.....and my kid is going to be in another state a REAL FAR AWAY for a week and me......

.....I may perhaps be feeling a teeeeeeny tiny bit stressed!! I'm sure no one notices....you know other than the fact that I am purple in color cause my blood pressure is probably 400 over 350..... my eyes are bulging outta my head...and my oh so clever comments on everything and everyone around are just simply as sweet and wonderful as ever...sooooooo.....yea!! I'm pretty sure not one person has noticed!! Although.....there have been a lot of wide eyed glances and hushed whispers around me lately......:O)

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.....and now.....I must go stalk my child......I mean kiss him and cry over not seeing him for a week.....I mean grab him and not let go.....I mean stand in the corner quietly and watch as my little man grows into a full grown one right before my eyes!! :O)

Brady was asked to speak at our community Memorial Day Service as the district winner in the Voice of Democracy contest. We are very proud of him and the honor bestowed upon him.....and he did a marvelous job!!

Today we remember and we honor those who have served......those who are serving.....and the family and friends whom they leave behind!!

What Day is It?

Rick was on vacation last week.....and by "on vacation" I mean we awoke at dawn and worked until dusk every day he was home. He went back to work this morning whistling a tune.....apparently that boss isn't nearly as demanding as this!! :O) We are very excited that we got sooooo much done.....and our dream shop is one step closer!! We are also kinda excited that no one was maimed by the other......and we are actually still speaking....if you count...."GET UP!! IT'S MORNING!!"

In all honesty....I've got the most amazing hubby ever!! This is how my brain works......

me......

"we could have a pitch this way and then put a stoopy kinda porch right here and then have tin right here....oh wouldn't that look sooooo cool....and then I could put a shelf right there.....and .......no.....if we put the gable that way then the shelf and sign would be even cooler right here about this height and....."

YEA!!! I kinda get a ton of ideas that spew from me all at once.....I come up with some really awesome ideas.....but I sorta need to talk them through to get to the awesomest!! :O)

This is how Rick's brain works......

"ummmmmm......let me think how to precisely do this.....oh wait a minute....you just changed the idea......uh huh.....well I thought you said left......ummmmm...."

.....at this point his eyes roll back in his head and smoke comes out of his ears!! Poor guy!! He works sooooo hard to make things exactly like I want them.....and from start to finish....I offer 492 ideas for him to perfect!!

Any hoooooo......we got a great start.....and the clock is ticking down to opening day..... ....we aren't gonna set a date....we want our shop to be perfect.....and refuse to rush it just to get it open!! Oh for goodness sakes......we've got a stalker....and the sad part is.....he has NO interest in me and my newly uncovered fab bod!! Nope....he couldn't care less!! He has no interest in Rick and his studliness......nor is he a perverted creep watching Brady!! Nope......he is a horny starling trying to get it on with his own reflection in my dirty windows!!

Some of you may remember that a few years ago Woody Woodpecker used our cedar home to call all the babes in town over for a good time......only to leave our home spotted with pecker marks....and a lonely bird.....cause we chased him far far away where he can peck his brains out for all I care!! I thought that my days as a madam were over!! But.....now we've got this....what the heck......I am running a brothel for birds!!

So......there you go......what the heck......send over your wild and crazy singles......apparently we've got the best spot to hook up with the biggest and baddest and most popular birdbrains in town!!

Duh!! Winner!!

I love my husband!! I want to make him happy and I work tirelessly to achieve his full satisfaction (oh gosh.....that one even made me laugh!!) So I've taken to heart....his wants and desires!! Here.....let me share.....

He once explained that he loves long hair.....when we were in our 20's.....and I had long hair....and he was trying to get lucky. Now.....in our 40's (well he is....I'm 21) I have taken this to heart.....by hardly ever shaving my legs!! Let me share with you the added benefits....

I live in Ohio......have you been to Ohio anytime recently???? This summer it was on average 462* out and the stubble on my leg caught any breeze around....much like the grand trees of the forest...sending a cooling breeze up my shorts!! And.....this winter it has been on average negative 62* out.....the stubble has acted much like a fur coat keeping me warm and toasty!!

If I were ever attacked......you know in the tiny village we live in....the one voted the safest county on earth......BUT....if I were attacked.....the stubble on my legs is so prickly.....it acts as a razor of death upon said attacker!!

Having lost so much weight....and still wearing pants that are way too big.....the stubble acts as a log of needles to keep my pants off the ground!!

I am NEVER without a comb......if I could only get my leg up over my head....I'd be able to comb my own hair anywhere I was with the bristles on my leg!!

I LOVE braided hair....don't you!!

With all the couponing.......I've got a HUGE stockpile of shampoo and conditioner.....so I've got that covered.....my leg hair can be long and flowing and shiny for months to come....for very little money!!

So.....there you go.....I live to make my hubby's dreams come true.....and I get a lil' out of it too!!! It is a win....win.......DUH.....WINNING!!!

What's the Craziest Thing.....

...you've ever made to order????

In the beginning of our business....a family friend worked in a busy medical office. The doctor's wife enjoyed doing luncheons as a "thank you" to the city's physicians and their staff. This created goodwill......and I'm sure garnered them additional referrals...and it was great fun!! During those luncheons (she hand made a grand buffet BTW!!) she would have me set up with our wares. Folks came and shopped and ate and we all giggled and laughed.....we did give- aways....really a wonderful day of fun and fellowship!!

Mrs. Holder was a great gal!! She was quite a hoot and very daring in her decorating!! Being a successful doctor's wife.....people anticipated her decorating to be high end.....and it was...however....she enjoyed a chuckle as well!! She once ordered a dinosaur......for the entrance of her driveway.....and she wanted it LARGE!!! Richard (she named the t-rex) was born.....from 2 sheets of plywood!! Having teenagers......Mrs. Holder wanted to be able to welcome her guests for every season.....so we made Richard's arms movable...and made him "things" for each season!! He had bunny ears.....a big red heart for Valentine's Day that read, "Be Mine!!"......a shamrock that read, "Kiss me...I'm Irish!!".....Richard wore a cap and gown for son Holder's graduation party.....and I can't put into writing why the t-rex got his name Richard..... you may be able to guess..... cause Richard wore a speedo one summer!! tee hee hee hee hee!! Oh my gosh....what fun!!

So there you have it.....I've made 3 different HUGE buses.....2 palm trees.....the entryway to a college and a massive bolder (for church plays).....I've made wooden bears....and stuffed everythings....but Richard was the craziest thing yet!! What's yours????

This morning while working in "my room" I glanced out the window across the road and into the woods. I could see movement and looked closer to see if it was one of the many deer we have in the neighborhood or perhaps the turkeys we haven't seen for a while. Although I strained to see....I couldn't make it out.....because my window is sooooo filthy everything is viewed through a spotted filth film. I decided that I didn't really care what was in the woods.....and went back to work!!

On second thought.....nope.....no problem here....if the Good Lord wanted me to have clean windows....he'd send soapy rain!! :O)

Rick came home for lunch......and it turns out it was something wonky with the gear shifty thing.....he explained it to me....however....it sounded like, "wah wa wa waw waaaaaaaah" soooooo.....I didn't really listen.....I did however understand that what it meant was......

I WAS NOT AT FAULT....... Aaaaaand.......HE OWES ME BIG!!!!!

So yesterday on my other blog.....I admitted that I am not a fan of Monday.....probably should have thought harder before ranting out loud in print.....'cause then this morning happened!!

Rick gets up at 5am for work....however Brady doesn't need to arise before 6:30a for school....being a loving and caring wife.....my roll in Rick's morning is...opening one eye when he kisses me goodbye!! However.....this morning.....in my deep sleep I hear Rick screaming gently explaining to me that when I took his truck last night to pick up Brady....I left the car door open.....and his battery was dead!! It didn't register what he was talking about.....why in the world would I leave his door open????? As it turns out.....the seat belt got jammed in the door and let it open enough to leave the interior lights turned on....killing the battery.....OOPS!!

Geesh.....what a way to wake up!! Poor guy....not only did he have no vehicle....but I drove him to work in a dazed and confused state!! Suddenly being late for work wasn't nearly as important to him as surviving the drive there!! :O)

So my lesson for the day boys and girls is......check the flippin' seat belt before shutting the door on your hubby's truck at 10pm on a work night....unless you want a warm and loving wake-up call in the morning!! :O)

Thank You House Party!!

As I showed before......I won a DiGiorno Pizza Party through the website House Party.....well yesterday was the day!! Because our family has been hit hard recently with the creeping crud (kleenex and sinus meds are still our best friends)....I really didn't plan a huge party.....instead....just invited the family in for a nice dinner while the guys watched the Ohio State game......

Go Bucks!!

Even though it was not a grand event we managed to have a really fun time chit chatting.....

.....and cheering.....

....yea!! We are quite the party animals.....no? tee hee hee!!

BUT......I've gotta say.....the food was amazing!! DiGiorno was sooooooo generous with the goodies they sent....and the coupons!! WOW!!

We purchased to serve.....

Pepperoni Pizza w/ breadsticks....and with chicken wings....which was the favorite!! The wings (I fixed them w/out the buffalo sauce) were wonderful!! Very meaty....boneless chunks with a great flavor!!

Supreme Hand-tossed Crust......was super loaded with toppings!! Sooooo good!!

Garlic Bread Pizza.....YUMMMMMMM!!!! So different....so flavorful.....and soooo gone!!

Four Cheese Pizza.....again.....oh sooooo good!!

I'd still like to try the stuffed crust pizza......and would love to find the duo box with the pizza and cookies.....the store I shopped at didn't carry them!! :O(

I've got to say.....Digiorno really is a great product!! It was super easy to prepare.....very quick.....and really wonderful tasting!! I paid $6.44 per pizza which is really a cheap meal....even when you add a salad you've got a great quick complete meal that everyone just gabbles up!! I normally haven't thought of keeping frozen pizzas in the freezer.....but will now for quick lunches or when Brady comes home with an army of hungry friends.....in just 20 minutes....I'll be super mom to the bunch!! :O)

So there you go......I highly recommend visiting House Party and trying for one of their many parties!! You won't be sorry!! :O)

I'm Sorry!!

To anyone I may have misled.....I want to apologize!!

I've been having some arm pain.....and constantly smell of ben gay....and when some have asked about it.....I may have explained that I am a super hero....and hurt my arm while on duty....saving the planet from destruction. I now realize that that was wrong.....it was all true.....I am.....and I did....however....I now see that this may have sounded a bit boastful...and what I really should have said was I have arthritis in my elbow from stuffing dolls and using an electric sander.

I probably should also apologize to anyone whom I may have suggested that I am always 100% perfect........I do in fact have a couple hangnails......and a pimple on my chin....although these do NOT in any way take away from the fact that I am ALWAYS right when arguing with my husband!!

So.....I am very sorry if I have misled anyone!! Please.....accept my apologies!! Have a grand day.....all you rock stars on tour...a.k.a moms jamming down to the radio while going to the grocery store!!

Perception Vs. Reality

First off.....NO!!! I am NOT procrastinating.....how dare you suggest that I should be cleaning instead of blogging!!! I'll have you know my 1/2 mopped floor needs to dry.....see....don't you feel horrible for thinking I was avoiding cleaning by coming up with this hilarious post!!! I forgive you....besides..... this is a post that really must be written....right now.....because......ummm.....I hate to clean...I mean....I'm waiting for the floor to dry so that I can continue cleaning!! :O)

Perception is a funny thing!! In my head.....I am really an awesome person!! Okay....not in a "WOW...I'm great" kinda way....but I think I'm okay.....I'm okay with myself....I'm pleased with my abilities......until reality bites me in the ashes!! Let me share.....

Perception.....I sing like an angel.....

Reality.....I sound like an off key wolf....with laryngitis....who is trying to scare away the entire animal kingdom!!

BUT......I'm convinced that it is the fault of Pandora Radio.....and itunes.....and the regular radio.....and the tv.....they are not in key!! I can't possibly be that bad.....so it must be everyone else in the world....right!!

Perception......I gots the moves!!

Reality.....umm......yea....not so much!!

BUT......Pee Wee Herman!! Need I say more??????

Perception.....I am a really cool mom.....all the kids just love me and think of me as one of their own....in fact....I'm pretty sure they think I'm like 21!!

Reality....... ummmm.....I AM THE COOL MOM!!!! AND I'M HARDLY OVER 21....in fact I'm almost 21(21)!!! :O)

however....the other day one of Brady's friends asked me if I could remember the short shorts from the 80's......BRAT!!! She said it as if....1)how could anyone remember that long ago...and 2) she's a huge brat and Brady is NEVER, EVER, EVER allowed to talk to her ever again!! :O) It put a damper on my day.....until I made her get out of my van and refused to bring her home....then I felt better.....she won't be making that mistake again any time soon!!! LOL!! See.....I am the cool mom....just ask Brady's lil' friend!! :O)

Perception.....my house is (hold on let me stop giggling for a second)....okay.....my house sparkles and shines.....hardy har har!!!

Reality.....yea.....

BUT....guess what.....it's okay!! I'm cool with myself!! My family is cool with me!!

I can't sing like an angel but I bust loose with the vocals every time I'm alone....and I've only had the neighbors complain 4 or 5 times!!

Dancing with the Stars won't be calling anytime soon.....however...I'm not a star soooo......I'm okay with that too!! Me and Miss Opal get our groove on most mornings....and for a dog....she's pretty darn groovy!!

I'm the mom that gets called when they need rides to the speech tournys at the last minute.....it's our house that they all gravitate to.....and my kid is pretty darn fantastic soooo....I may not be the cool mom.....but I certainly am the most blessed!!

Soooo......there you go......this was soooooo worth avoiding cleaning for right!! And now I must get back to it......right after I check emails......and perhaps start dinner......and see what's up in my room....and......:O)

I am NOT old!! See.....that was a test!! I said, "could it be I'm old"......and the correct response was...."Oh h238ll no!! Geesh......now.....I have a leaky bladder....I'm drinking too much water to make my bum shrink when in reality it's making my bladder shrink first....I'm coughing up a lung every minute and I'm pretty sure I only started out with 2......and now I'm depressed cause y'all agreed that I'm old!! :OP

Thank you for all the well wishes.....I'm back asking for a lil' prayer....we just got home from stat care and Rick has pneumonia and Influenza A!! He is VERY ill, and absolutely HATES being sick!! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.....and that he doesn't have to go to the hospital.....which isn't out of the question at this point!! Do you think it's wrong that I've tied him to the bed?????

National Forensic League....National Qualifier!!

Yep!! That's our kid!! I have been bawling since 9:30 last night.....our Brady placed 2nd at this weekends national qualifiers....earning himself a seat at the competition in Dallas, TX in June(only 2 seats!!)!! We are soooooo proud of him....I truly cannot speak!! What an amazing accomplishment..... and an amazing opportunity!! I am truly blessed!!

Do you think he'll allow me to tag along?????? :O)

Our Speech & Debate team will be competing at "Bigs" this weekend...which is qualifiers for the National competition. An urgent message was sent out that our team is short on judges (each team must fill "x" number judging positions)......and guess who she called......Oh!! My!! Gosh!! Good!! Golly!! Molly!!

Please pray I don't screw up and crush some child's future dreams.....I can just see it now....I get all fer-clemped......and give someone a 700 instead of a 1 (1 is highest).....and the child's dreams are crushed and they join the "I can't speak" club instead of speech.....they could have been the president of the US......and I ruined it!!! Ooooohhhhh.......

I don't think it will be disrupting to the competitor that I'll be breathing into a paper bag do you????? Oh Dear......please pray that my one functioning brain cell continues to fire today!!
